TrackStage 3.0 is our biggest update yet, with a redesigned Catalog, a smoother Creative workflow, a simpler Split Sheet Engine, a brand-new Artist Showcase, and much more.

General

Q: What is TrackStage 3.0?

A:   TrackStage 3.0 is the biggest update we've ever released. It includes a redesigned Catalog, a streamlined Creative workflow, Artist Showcase, TrackStage GO, AI Metadata Analysis, an upgraded Split Sheet Engine, and dozens of workflow improvements throughout the platform.

Q: Do I need to do anything to upgrade?

A:   Nope! Your account will be upgraded automatically. The next time you log in, you'll see the new interface and features.

Q: Will I lose any of my existing data?

A:   No. Your tracks, catalog information, contacts, projects, pitches, and account settings all carry over automatically.

Q: Does TrackStage 3.0 cost extra?

A:   No. TrackStage 3.0 is included with your existing subscription at no additional cost.

Q: Will my login information change?

A:   No. Continue signing in exactly as you always have.

Catalog

Q: What's changed in the Catalog?

A:   Nearly every part of the Catalog has been streamlined. Highlights include:

  • Faster track importing with TrackStage GO and Bulk Import
  • A simpler tagging workflow
  • Improved Fill Data screens
  • Better visual indicators showing when tracks still need attention
  • A cleaner, more intuitive interface throughout

Q: Has creating pitches changed?

A:   Yes. Creating pitches has been redesigned to make the process faster, clearer, and easier to follow.

Q: Has TrackSync changed?

A:   Yes. TrackSync works much more smoothly with the new Catalog workflow, making syncing your music faster and more reliable.

Q: What is Artist Showcase?

A:   Artist Showcase lets you create your own customizable streaming page featuring the music you want to promote. You control which tracks appear, and each one can include artwork, metadata, lyrics, videos, and more.

Q: What is TrackStage GO?

A:   TrackStage GO makes it easy to bring local music files into TrackStage. It works alongside TrackSync to simplify importing and syncing your catalog.

Q: What is AI Metadata Analysis?

A:   AI Metadata Analysis reviews your tracks and suggests keywords and descriptive metadata that can improve searchability and help match your music with opportunities. You choose which suggestions to accept.

Creative

Q: Can I enter track information before a project is finished?

A:   Yes. In TrackStage 3.0, track details can be added or updated at any point during the creative process instead of waiting until the end.

Q: What does Finalize Track do?

A:   Once a project is complete, Finalize Track moves it directly into your Catalog without requiring duplicate data entry.

Q: Is there reporting in Creative?

A:   Yes. The new Reporting view gives you a snapshot of every project, showing progress, deadlines, collaborators, completion status, and more.

Split Sheets & Contracts

Q: What's changed with Split Sheets?

A:   Our new Split Sheet Engine, powered by DocuSeal, lets you manage the entire split sheet process without ever leaving TrackStage. Send documents for signing, track their status, and once everyone has signed, the completed PDF is automatically attached to the track for easy future reference. It also includes more reliable signing, clearer status tracking, and better handling of edge cases.

Q: Is there an additional cost?

A:   As an introductory offer, every account includes up to 10 completed split sheets per month at no charge.

Q: A split sheet or contract seems stuck. What should I do?

A:   Contact Support and include the project or track name. We'll investigate and get things moving again.

Training

Q: Is training available for the new features?

A:   Yes. New TrackStage University courses and tutorial videos are currently being created and will be released over the coming weeks.

Support

Q: Is there a learning curve with this update?

A:   Not much! The features you already know and use are still there and, for the most part, in the same places. We've focused on polishing and simplifying existing workflows rather than reinventing them, while adding powerful new features like Artist Showcase, TrackStage GO, AI Metadata Analysis, Reporting, and our upgraded Split Sheet Engine. Most users should feel right at home after just a few minutes.

Q: Can I switch back to the previous version of TrackStage?

A:   No. Once your account has been upgraded, you'll remain on TrackStage 3.0. We've worked hard to keep familiar features where you expect them while making the overall experience faster, cleaner, and easier to use.
