Using AI Metadata Analysis
AI Metadata Analysis listens to your track and suggests genre, mood, instrumentation, and other metadata — so you can tag your catalog faster and more consistently.

Step One: Start the Analysis
The Analyze with AI function is found in the KEYWORDS Tab of the CATALOG.
Select the track you'd like analyzed.
Click on the KEYWORDS Tab to expand it.
Open Metadata Analysis.
Click the Analyze with AI button in the KEYWORDS Tab. This submits the track to the analysis queue and opens a window where you'll see the results come in.
Step Two: Track the Status
Once submitted, your track moves through a few stages. You'll see the status update automatically at the top of the window — no need to refresh or wait around.
Pending
Your track is waiting in the queue for its turn.
Processing
Your track is actively being analyzed.
Completed
Analysis is finished and your results are ready to review below.
Error
Something went wrong during analysis. Try submitting the track again, and reach out to Support if it keeps happening.
Step Three: Review the Suggested Metadata
Once your analysis is Completed, TrackStage lays out everything it found about your track, organized into a few groups:
Genre, Sub-genre, BPM, Tempo / Time Signature, Voice Profile, Key
Core track details, identified directly from the audio.
Lyrics
A snippet of any lyrics detected, or "Instrumental" if there are none.
Vibe
A short written description of the track's overall feel and mood.
Mood / Keywords
Five descriptive adjectives that capture the track's character.
Instruments
The instruments identified in the track.
Sounds Like
Reference points or comparisons to help describe the track's style.
Step Four: Choose What to Apply
Nothing is applied to your track automatically — you decide exactly what to keep.
- Check the box next to each field you'd like to apply.
Every field starts unchecked, so you commit to exactly what you want on your track. - Click individual tags to select Mood/Keywords, Instruments, or Sounds Like.
Selected tags are highlighted. Use the toggle above each group to select or clear all tags in that group at once. - Use Select All / Deselect All for everything at once.
These icons in the status bar select or clear every field and tag in one click.
Step Five: Update or Replace Your Track's Metadata
Once you've made your selections, apply them to your track using one of two buttons. You'll be asked to confirm before anything is saved.
Update Metadata
Fills in your track's empty fields with the selected suggestions, and adds any new tags to your existing Mood/Keywords, Instruments, and Sounds Like — without touching what's already there.
Replace Metadata
Overwrites the selected fields on your track with the new suggestions, replacing whatever was there before.
Once saved, your track's Catalog entry and form will refresh automatically to reflect the changes.
