Metadata AI Analysis

Using AI Metadata Analysis

AI Metadata Analysis listens to your track and suggests genre, mood, instrumentation, and other metadata — so you can tag your catalog faster and more consistently.

Step One: Start the Analysis

Step Two: Track the Status

Step Three: Review the Suggested Metadata

Step Four: Choose What to Apply

Step Five: Update or Replace Your Track's Metadata

Step One: Start the Analysis

The Analyze with AI function is found in the KEYWORDS Tab of the CATALOG.

  1. Select the track you'd like analyzed.
Click on the KEYWORDS Tab to expand it.

  2. Open Metadata Analysis.
Click the Analyze with AI button in the KEYWORDS Tab. This submits the track to the analysis queue and opens a window where you'll see the results come in.

Step Two: Track the Status

Once submitted, your track moves through a few stages. You'll see the status update automatically at the top of the window — no need to refresh or wait around.

Step Three: Review the Suggested Metadata

Once your analysis is Completed, TrackStage lays out everything it found about your track, organized into a few groups:

Step Four: Choose What to Apply

Nothing is applied to your track automatically — you decide exactly what to keep.

  1. Check the box next to each field you'd like to apply.
Every field starts unchecked, so you commit to exactly what you want on your track.
  2. Click individual tags to select Mood/Keywords, Instruments, or Sounds Like.
Selected tags are highlighted. Use the toggle above each group to select or clear all tags in that group at once.
  3. Use Select All / Deselect All for everything at once.
These icons in the status bar select or clear every field and tag in one click.

Step Five: Update or Replace Your Track's Metadata

Once you've made your selections, apply them to your track using one of two buttons. You'll be asked to confirm before anything is saved.

Update Metadata
Fills in your track's empty fields with the selected suggestions, and adds any new tags to your existing Mood/Keywords, Instruments, and Sounds Like — without touching what's already there.

Replace Metadata
Overwrites the selected fields on your track with the new suggestions, replacing whatever was there before.

Once saved, your track's Catalog entry and form will refresh automatically to reflect the changes.
