TrackStage GO
TrackStage GO is the fastest way to get a brand new track from your hard drive into your TrackStage Catalog — organized, linked, tagged, and live on your Artist Showcase — in a single step.
Where the standard Catalog workflow takes you through six steps (SYNC, MARK, LINK, TABS, FILL, and TAG), GO compresses all of that into one simple action. Drag your files, enter your key metadata, and hit GO. TrackStage takes care of the rest.
NOTE: TrackStage GO is for new tracks only. Existing Catalog files cannot be processed through GO.
Before You Begin
Step One: Open TrackStage GO
Step Two: Drop Your Files
Step Three: Enter Your Metadata
Step Four: Hit GO!
What Comes Next
Before You Begin
Have the following ready before opening TrackStage GO:
- Your completed MP3 primary track
- Any alternate versions (instrumentals, cut-downs, alternate formats or bit-rates, WAVs)
- Any stems or multi-tracks (drums, vocals, bass, etc.)
- Your album artwork (JPG or PNG)
- Key metadata: Track Name, Artist, Album, Composer, Genre, BPM, ISWC#, Publisher, and Release Date
Step One: Open TrackStage GO
Click the GO icon (🚀) in the left navigation bar to open the TrackStage GO window.
- Click the rocket (🚀) icon in the left navigation bar.
The TrackStage GO window will open. You'll see four drop zones on the left for your audio files and artwork, and a metadata panel on the right for your track information.
Step Two: Drop Your Files
Drag and drop your files into the appropriate drop zones. TrackStage GO will automatically mark each file as a Primary, Alternate, or Stem based on which zone it was placed in — no manual marking required.
- Drag your MP3 primary track into the PRIMARY TRACK drop zone.
This should be the MP3 of your full mix. You can only have one Primary track.
- Drag any alternate versions into the ALTERNATE VERSIONS drop zone.
This includes alternate formats, bit-rates, versions, and cut-downs (e.g., instrumentals, WAVs).
- Drag any stems or multi-tracks into the STEMS & MULTI-TRACKS drop zone.
This includes individual stems and multi-tracks (e.g., drums, vocals, bass).
- Drop your album artwork into the ALBUM ARTWORK drop zone.
JPG or PNG format. This artwork will be embedded in your audio files and displayed on your Artist Showcase page.
Step Three: Enter Your Metadata
Complete the fields in the Enter Metadata panel on the right side of the GO window. These are the critical fields your track needs to be truly ready for opportunity — GO will tag whatever metadata you enter directly to your audio files.
- Complete the metadata fields.
Track Name — The name of your track as it will appear in your Catalog and Artist Showcase.
Artist — Your artist or band name.
Album — The album or collection this track belongs to.
Composer — The composer(s) of the track.
Genre — The primary genre of the track.
Description — Auto-filled from your profile settings.
Grouping — Enter your splits here: Master side (% M) / Publishing side (% S).
BPM — Beats per minute.
ISWC# — Your International Standard Musical Work Code, if registered.
Publisher — Your publishing entity.
Release Date — The release date of the track.
NOTE: While you can enter partial information and complete the rest in the Catalog later, we recommend filling in all fields before hitting GO. GO will tag whatever metadata is entered to your audio files immediately. Additional metadata — including Keywords, Credits, and Rights — can be added in the Catalog after GO completes.
Step Four: Hit GO!
When your files are dropped and your metadata is entered, you're ready to GO.
Click the GO! button at the bottom of the metadata panel.
Watch the progress bar at the top of the window as TrackStage works. In moments, GO will:
- Organize your files into a clean folder structure in your TrackStage Folder on your hard drive (Track Name > [alts] or [stems] > file)
- Add all tracks to your Catalog, already linked together and automatically marked as Primary, Alternate, and Stem versions
- Fill all entered information across all versions simultaneously
- Tag the metadata to all audio files on your hard drive
- Publish your Primary Track to your Artist Showcase with a live streaming link (TrackStage PRO only)
- Add your next track, or close GO to return to your Catalog.
Once GO completes, the window clears automatically — ready for you to add another track. When you're finished, close the GO window to return to your Catalog, where your new tracks will be waiting, organized and ready to go.
What Comes Next
TrackStage GO gets your tracks in fast. To make them truly pitch-ready, head to your Catalog to complete the remaining metadata tabs:
- Keywords — Genre, Mood, Sounds Like, Cue Types, and more
- Credits — Work-for-hire and other non-rights participants
- Rights — Co-writing splits, contracts, and split sheets
- Publishing — Library, publisher, or sync agency agreements
