The CATALOG Module

CATALOG Interface

The TrackStage Catalog is a flexible, customizable workspace, set up so you can maximize your viewing area while still being able to get to the information you want to see quickly and easily.

CATALOG Workflow

The TrackStage workflow takes boring admin tasks and makes them quick and easy... and just maybe even kinda fun.

Adding & Deleting Tracks

TrackStage removes the task of manually typing in new tracks to a spreadsheet. Adding and deleting tracks is as simple as drag and drop in your TrackStage Folder.

The INFO Tab

Found at the top of the tabs along the right side of the CATALOG, the INFO Tab is where you keep all those bits of information that identify your track, from critical metadata to artwork and file info.

The KEYWORDS Tab

The Keywords tab is found in the CATALOG module to the right of the screen second from the top of the Side Tabs. This is where you enter the Genre and other Keywords that will be added to your track’s metadata.

The LYRICS Tab

The LYRICS Tab stores the lyrics for your song with features that make them easy to share.

The CREDITS Tab

A record of your contractors, colloborators and other contributors to your track - all at a single click away.

The RIGHTS Tab

Having an accurate and easily accessible accounting of your track’s ownership is one of the most important aspects of managing your sync business. The Rights Tab makes it easy.

The PUBLISHING Tab

Keep a record of the publishing contracts you have signed for this track. See what the terms, splits and reversion dates are and attach the contracts so you have all the important info in one place.

Marking Tracks

A single song can result in dozens of variations, from cut-downs to alternate instrumentations, from different stylistic versions to stems. Marking each version as a Primary, Alternate or Stem helps you organize your catalog and get insight on the breadth of your product offering.

Linking Tracks

Linking your Alternate and Stem versions to your Primary Track allows you to clean up your Catalog view so you can easily identify how many full mix songs you have in your catalog.

Filling Data

The Fill Data function makes short work of copying metadata information from one track to many. With a click of a button, quickly move all critical metadata from a Primary track to its linked Alternate & Stem versions. Or pick more generic information to fill across a selection of unlinked tracks.

Tagging Metadata

TrackStage enables you to tag metadata directly to the audio files on your hard drive right from your CATALOG.

Working with DISCO

DISCO.ac is a great resource for sync musicians to connect with and deliver tracks to music supervisors. TrackStage makes it easy to seamlessly incorporate DISCO into your workflow so you can reap the benefits of both platforms.

Adding a License

Processing Tracks

The specialized functions in the Process Tracks menu perform updates, import data, and cache tracks to be shared.

Archiving

TrackStage has a built-in archiving function that keeps a duplicate copy of your TrackStage Catalog folder in a separate location you choose. An extra layer of security so you know your tagged files are safe.

Exporting to CSV

For those who absolutely MUST have a spreadsheet, TrackStage can do that for you.

CATALOG Customization

Even though TrackStage is already designed specifically for sync musicians, there are numerous ways to further customize your experience to support how you work.

The Player

TrackStage has a native audio player that you can use to listen to your tracks.
